An art competition has been organised by the Sri Lanka-Thailand Society in association with the Royal Thai Embassy of Thailand on the theme ‘One ocean, two lands, endless friendship’ to mark 70 years of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand. The competition is open to those in the age groups of 12-15 and 15-18.
Entries should be submitted on or before the 31st July.
The artistic creations should depict bonds of friendship between Sri Lanka and Thailand, the Indian Ocean as a bridge of friendship, cultural elements, and Buddhist ties between the two countries.
The medium should be: Pencil, water colours, pastels (oil/dry).
Paper size: A 3 (297 mm x 420 mm).
The completed work should be handed over or mailed to Siam House, No. 98, Horton Place , Colombo 07, giving the name, age, school and the contact number of the competitor.
The entries should be certified by the head of the school with his or her signature and the official school stamp.
There is no restriction on the number of entries that could be sent by each competitor.
The winners of the first, second and third prizes will receive cash prizes of Rs. 50,000, Rs, 25,000 and Rs. 15,000 respectively, along with certificates and gift packs.
