President Disanayake plants a sapling to mark 60 years of diplomatic relations

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is  on a state visit to the Maldives, took part in a ceremonial tree planting event on Wednesday (30) afternoon  held at the Sultan Park in Male, to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka.

The event was also attended by President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Maldivian Minister of Tourism and Environment, Thoriq Ibrahim and representing the Government of Sri Lanka, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, along with several other dignitaries.
