The Second Generation, led by Uvindu Wijeweera, will launch a signature campaign today (28) at the N. M. Perera Centre, at 10 am, to pressure the NPP government that succumbed to the dictates of the Geneva-based United Nations Human Rights Commission, to rectify its mistake.
The Second Generation has also planned to hold a seminar after the signing of the petition.
Slain JVP founder Rohana Wijeweera’s son Uvindu told The Island that in the absence of a cohesive strategy to counter the Geneva threat, those members of the international community, who couldn’t stomach Sri Lanka’s victory over the LTTE, pursued a hostile agenda.
