President Anura Dissanayake will make a state visit to the Maldives, from July 28-30, at the invitation of the Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu.
Dissanayake is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Muizzu and exchange several Memoranda of Understanding to strengthen mutual cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
He is also scheduled to address a business forum and meet the Sri Lankan expatriate community.
Sri Lanka and the Maldives commemorate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations this year.Dissanayake will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath and senior Government officials.
