As part of the Campaign Finance Monitoring exercise initiated by a collective of election monitoring missions the Institute of Democratic Reforms and Electoral Studies (IRES) is keeping tabs 24×7 on election related advertisements being aired on nine mainstream TV channels, news radio and print media.
Executive Director of IRES, Manjula Gajanayake said the Regulation of Election Expenditure Act No 3 of 2023 was being enforced for the first time.
