The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Buddhism, religious and Cultural affairs, National Integration, Social Security and Mass Media to appoint Mr. H.S.K.J.Bandara, a grade I officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service who served as Director(Admin) of the Department of Government Information, as the Director General of Government Information with immediate effect.
The position of Director General of Government Information fell vacant with the resignation of Mr. Dinith Chinthaka Karunarathne
