Rosy Senanayake, an advisor to former president Ranil Wickremesinghe, was given a PORSCHE CAYENNE by the Rajapaksa-Wickremesinghe administration, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).
MERCEDES BENZ 300 each was allocated for Saman Ekanayake, Secretary to the President, and MP Seetha Arambepola; Toyota Land Cruiser V8s were given to Sagala Rathnayake – Chief of staff to the President, Sarath Kumara – Snr. Add. Secretary, Dhanushka Ramanayake, MPs S. M. Chandrasena, Priyankara Jayarathne, Diana Gamage, and S.B. Dissanayake.
Toyota Land Cruiser Prados were allocated to Akila Viraj Kariyawasam – Senior Advisor to Ranil Wickremesinghe, Advisors M.K.B.A.J. Thilakarathne, Prof. Ashuboda Marasinghe, Director General – Rajith Keerthi Thennakoon, S.D.M. Perera – Private Sec to the President, directors M.L.D. Theekshana Abeywardane, Nalin Samarakoon, Tharindu Caldera, Coordinating Secretaries G.K.L.S. Rajadasa, W.C.A. Fernando, MPs Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Milan Jayathilake, Nimal Piyathissa, Kokila Gunawardena, and Douglas Devananda.
The PMD has said that 107 vehicles used by the personal staff of former president Ranil Wickremesinghe were handed over to the Presidential Secretariat. Those vehicles are parked outside the Presidential Secretariat because there was no room inside and that the government did not do so for political purposes.
None of these vehicles were used by government officers attached to the Presidential Secretariat, the PMD said.
