Former Minister of Agriculture Duminda Dissanayake was further remanded until 05 June in connection with the discovery of a gold-plated firearm at an apartment complex in Havelock Town.
He was further remanded after being produced before the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Dissanayake was arrested on 23 May while at a luxury apartment complex in Thimbirigasyaya, Colombo.
He was arrested in connection with the gold-plated T-56 assault rifle found at the Havelock City housing complex in Wellawatte.
Two women, aged 40 and 68, were initially arrested and investigations were handed over to the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID).
