The Fort Magistrate’s Court yesterday granted bail to former Acting Director of the National Lotteries Board, Thusitha Halloluwa, who was arrested over allegations of misusing state property.
During the Court proceedings, a travel ban was also imposed on Halloluwa, restricting him from leaving the country while investigations continue.
The arrest followed inquiries into the alleged misuse of government-owned assets during his tenure at the National Lotteries Board. The Court was informed by the police that the matter involves a computer and a mobile phone valued at over Rs. 470,000.
