Sri Lanka host Maldives today
Football Sri Lanka (FSL) officially unveiled the South Asia Super Cup at a media briefing held at the Football House, Colombo on Thursday.
Jaswar Umar , President of Football Sri Lanka speaking at the launch said that the South Asian Super Cup is more than just a football competition but a symbol of unity, pride and sporting excellence in the region. He added that Sri Lanka and Maldives share a rich footballing rivalry and FSL were proud to host Maldives in Colombo on the 6th and 9th for the inaugural edition, adding that the tournament would bring together more teams in the region for future editions.
Today’s game between Sri Lanka and Maldives will commence at 5pm at the Racecourse International Stadium
