The Colombo Magistrate’s Court yesterday granted bail to former Director of the National Lotteries Board, Thusitha Halloluwa, who was in remand custody.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Lahiru Silva yesterday ordered that Halloluwa be released on two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each.
The court also imposed an overseas travel ban on the suspect and instructed that his passport be surrendered to the court.
Thusitha Halloluwa was remanded in connection with a shooting incident involving his vehicle in the Narahenpita area.
He was arrested on 19 August during a raid conducted by the Colombo Crimes Division in Kollupitiya.
