Musaeus College will host the fifth edition of its Model United Nations (MUN) conference, MCMUN 2025, on Oct 4 and 5, with around 250 students from state, private and international schools expected to take part. A practice debate has been scheduled for Sept 14.
Organised by the school’s MUN Club, the event is designed to give students a deeper understanding of the workings of the United Nations while promoting awareness of global issues and encouraging the search for practical solutions.
MUN provides a platform for students to debate pressing international challenges, evaluate diverse perspectives, and develop decision-making skills through negotiation and consensus-building.
Through participation, students also sharpen their teamwork, debating, writing, and leadership abilities, skills considered vital for personal development and future success.
Musaeus College officials said the conference aims not only to familiarise students with international diplomacy but also to nurture socially conscious citizens who are sensitive to their communities and the wider world.
