Apropos page 1 story headlined ‘Construction of Rs 2.26 bn 10-storey hospital building halted’ on 20 October edition of The Island, the Health Ministry pointed out that the construction of 10-storey professional unit for the Provincial General Hospital in Badulla had been halted during the previous administration. Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa had visited the site during an inspection of the Badulla hospital.
