On 17 October the Hatton National Bank Toastmasters Club celebrated its Executive Committee Installation Ceremony, marking a vibrant new chapter in its 21-year journey. Held under the theme of “A Night of Adventure” the event was a dazzling showcase of leadership, legacy, and celebration.
The newly elected Executive Committee was officially installed by the Area Director TM Ramanya Loganathan, ushering in a fresh wave of energy and vision. TM Dinesh Sanjeewa assumed the role of President, supported by a dynamic team: TM Priyashanthi de Mel (VP Education), TM Amara Nanayakkara (VP Membership), TM Sandun Wijesinghe (VP Public Relations), TM Randika Silva (Secretary), TM Kuslaya Widanagama (Treasurer), and TM Mohamad Rishman (Sergeant-at-Arms). Together, they pledged to lead the club toward greater heights, inspiring members to ignite their potential.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests from District 82, including DTM Arunasalam Balraj, past International President of TMI. The current District Trio—DTM Niroshan Nadarajah, DTM Bhathiya Hettiarachchi, and DTM Piyakara Jayaratne—also attended, offering their support and encouragement to the new leadership.
From Hatton National Bank, Sanjay Wijemanne, Chief Operating Officer and Club Patron/ CHRO K. Indravasan, participated, reaffirming the bank’s commitment to nurturing communication and leadership excellence through Toastmasters.
The evening was not only ceremonial but also celebratory. Entertainment acts and dance performances added flair and excitement, making the night truly adventurous. A special segment honoured the club’s 21-year legacy, with tokens of appreciation presented to achievers and winners, recognising their dedication and contributions.
A highlight of the evening was the address by Immediate Past President TM Don Dushmantha, who reflected on the golden moments of the previous tenure. His heartfelt speech celebrated the club’s journey, achievements, and the spirit of camaraderie that defines Toastmasters.
