On the eve of the presentation of NPP’s first budget, the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) urged the government to create an exclusive salary structure for all categories of doctors.
A senior spokesman for the GMOA yesterday stressed the responsibility on the part of the government to take short and long term measures to address their concerns. The official said that the creation of an exclusive salary structure should be a priority and couldn’t be further delayed.
The GMOA also sought an increase in DAT (disturbance availability and transport) allowance and foreign living allowance in addition to transform an additional service allowance granted to all categories of doctors to permanent pay.
