Children will gain free access to archaeological sites

Children would be granted free entry to archaeological and heritage sites managed by the Central Cultural Fund, Director General Dr. Nilan Cooray has announced.

The move aims to encourage young learners to explore, study and appreciate Sri Lanka’s rich cultural and historical sites.

Places such as Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, and Anuradhapura will be open to children free of charge under this new initiative, Dr. Cooray has said.
