Police had arrested 796 individuals in operations conducted across the country on Wednesday (29), Police Media Spokesperson F.U. Wootler told The Island.
He also said a total of 30,434 individuals had been subjected to checks across the country during the same period.
During the operation, 259 individuals with warrants, 188 individuals with open warrants, 31 drunk drivers, 40 reckless drivers, and 4,923 persons who committed various traffic offences had been taken into custody, the Police Spokesman said.
