GMOA asks whether environment conducive for emergency purchases was created
The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) yesterday (18) said that there were insufficient stocks of over 150 types of medicines in the public health sector.
Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa was aware of the crisis, but no remedial action had been taken so far, the GMOA said in a media statement yesterday.
GMOA Secretary Dr. Prabath Sugathadasa emphasised the urgent need to find out whether the shortages had been created to facilitate emergences purchases.
